Thermal Conductivity sensory
The thermal conductivity method is used to determine the concentration of the individual components in fluid or gas mixtures.
The TCS method developed and patented by AST determines the thermal conductivity of liquid and gas mixtures and thus deduces their composition. Thanks to a special evaluation procedure, the medium’s thermal conductivity can be determined. Determining the concentration of the individual components in liquid or gas mixtures is particularly successful if the thermal conductivities of the components differ as much as possible such as in the case, for example, of gaseous hydrogen, which conducts heat approximately ten times better than air. This enables, for example, the concentration of H2 in the air to be determined with an accuracy of 0.1%.
